BC Pork and Passion for Pork present new Butchers Showcase Stage

Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada – A new feature at the 8th annual Fraser Valley Food Show on April 1-3, 2016 is the Butcher’s Showcase Stage, presented by BC Pork and Passion for Pork. Butchers and chefs from all over B.C. will demonstrate the art of meat cutting, sausage making, knife skills, and more. Presentations will take place throughout the weekend.
Pork comes in a variety of products and cuts, and for each one there are versatile ways to enjoy them. The individuals and businesses presenting alongside BC Pork on the Butcher’s Showcase Stage will help attendees in creating memorable meals with their meat. There are five farm families that produce BC specialty pork close to home who have abided by Canada’s Code of Practice for over 20 years. The crowd-pleasing Sausage & Beer Tasting will take place on Saturday,April 2nd at 11:00am, where foodies can wash down sausage samples with a glass of Erdinger or Mongozo Premium Pilsner for 4 tasting tickets or $2 cash. Visitor votes will determine the People’s Choice Award in the Sausage Making Competition.
Related exhibitors include Country Prime Meats, Gelderman Farms, Sedo’s Old Fashioned Butcher & Deli, and SPOLUMBO’s Fine Foods & Deli. Stuffers Supply Company is the Prize and Awards Sponsor for the third year.
More than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend the show over the three-day weekend at the Tradex Trade and Exhibition Centre, 1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford, B.C., V2T 6H5. Tickets are $8 for adults online.
